FAC announces nineteen new artist ambassadors
The FAC has added another 19 artists to its community of official Ambassadors - with Alfie Templeman, Aziya, Ben Lovett, Dan Smith, Divorce, Ellen Beth Abdi, Hinako Omori, Imogen Heap, Jalen Ngonda, Katie Melua, Meyy, MJ Cole, Mount Kimbie, Orla Gartland, Picture Parlour, Rachel Chinouriri, Roxanne de Bastion, Sans Soucis and VUKOVI all agreeing to champion the FAC’s advocacy and support work.
Collectively, these individuals represent a wide cross-section of the creative community with a range of experiences from a multitude of genres. Notably, with Imogen, Katie and Roxanne, they also include former board members - and a former CEO - who are continuing their long-time association with the FAC.
In total, more than 150 artists have now pledged their support as FAC Ambassadors, from iconic individuals and groups such as Annie Lennox, Johnny Marr, Robbie Williams, Duran Duran, Bob Geldof and Nick Mason, culturally important figures like Carl Cox, Anna Meredith, Larry Heard, Kano, Shaun Ryder, Beth Gibbons, Brix Smith, Cradle of Filth, Mogwai and Pauline Black through to a wide range of contemporary names including Loyle Carner, Nia Archives, Shabaka Hutchings, English Teacher, Kelly Lee Owens, beabadoobee and Porridge Radio.

Today’s announcement comes as the FAC prepares to open applications for the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) Fund, a new initiative to distribute much-needed finance to artists who are struggling to cover the costs of grassroots live performance. The UKAT Fund was recently confirmed to receive £125,000 from ticket contributions received by the LIVE Trust from participating arena and stadium events.
Following a transparent and open application process, this money will be redistributed within the artist community - all with the aim of keeping more shows on the road, ensuring venues are booked, industry professionals are employed and live music continues to reach communities all around the UK.
Full details of the UKAT Fund’s application process will be announced within the next month.
David Martin, CEO, Featured Artists Coalition:
“I’m absolutely delighted to announce another 19 Ambassadors that represent such a wide cross-section of the creative community. With the launch of the UKAT Fund, 2026 will be a pivotal year for the FAC as we look to complement our advocacy work with funding and support programmes that truly facilitate the talent that drives the UK’s music industry. Our Ambassadors will be crucial to helping us manage this transformation, enabling us to reach new communities and make more artists aware of the work we do. I’m grateful to every artist who stands with us as we work to give artists a collective voice.”
Katie Melua:
"I'm really proud. As a former FAC board member, I know only too well the gravitas and respect that our Ambassadors can bring. The UK produces such an incredible range of musical talent, and it's really important we can reflect that diversity on the face of this organisation."
Dan Smith, Bastille:
"There's lots of fantastic advocacy organisations in the music business, all involved in important work behind the scenes - however, there's only one that wholly has the interests of artists at its heart. I'm really happy to support and join the extensive list of Ambassadors of the FAC.”
Orla Gartland:
“I’ve done this professionally for 10+ years and it feels crazy out here; a combo of compromised income on the records side and rising costs on the live side mean a lot of artists are struggling right now. I’m immensely proud to step forward as an ambassador for the FAC, an organisation that tirelessly fights for us artists at the centre of this industry. It feels good to know they have our back.”
Imogen Heap:
"Really loved working with the FAC for the last 10 years and looking forward to this role, supporting their great work where I can."
Alfie Templeman:
"The FAC plays an important role in standing up for artists and ensuring we have a voice at the industry's top table. I'm really proud to add my support for what they do, and to accept this position as Ambassador."
VUKOVI:
“There are far too many gatekeepers at the top of the industry pyramid, hoarding power, reaping and squeezing profits from artists. A system that risks making it impossible for the majority of us to exist. Humanity needs art created by humans from all walks of life and to receive the absolute bare minimum of being able to sustain ourselves.
“It’s imperative that we f**k up that system. Since being awarded Step Up funding in 2022, we’ve gained a far deeper understanding of the importance of the FAC’s work. Not only in campaigning for our rights but in providing vital support, advice and a genuine network. Being made Ambassadors feels like being placed at the heart of that community.”
