Black Out Tuesday: The Show Must Be Paused #BlackLivesMatter

“This Tuesday, the FAC will stand in solidarity with black communities to observe Black Out Tuesday.

As a society, we cannot continue to watch racism, bigotry and violence tear lives apart. As an industry, we cannot stand by and witness the perpetuation of deeply engrained systematic and structural prejudice towards black communities that we owe so much to. To be silent is to be complicit, we all have to do better. Tuesday is just one day but fighting inequality must happen every single day.

As an organisation, we must use our voice to call out societal injustices wherever we witness them, and as a membership body we must represent and celebrate those who makes us what we are. We recognise that there is always more to do and where we get it wrong, we welcome you challenging us.”
