Make My Money Matter and Count Us In have joined forces to launch “Green Your Pension” – an exciting new campaign to encourage people and businesses to find a pension they can be proud of. Their goal is to ensure the trillions of pounds in our pensions are invested in ways that are good for us, our communities and our planet.

At the FAC we’re proud to have signed up to Make My Money Matter and Count Us In’s Green Pensions Charter. At this critical moment in the fight against climate change, we’re delighted to join this ambitious declaration to ensure we make all our money matter.

We’d love to invite you on board the Charter too, so that green pensions can become mainstream for all organisations committed to tackling the climate crisis.

Richard Curtis, Nigel Topping, Christiana Figueres and Amanda McKenzie have publicly endorsed the charter in and open letter in The Guardian, calling on all UK organisations to look at their pensions as a crucial step in their paths to net zero, And you can read more about it in this Guardian article too.

By having a green pension we can ensure the billions of pounds invested each year through our organisations’ pensions plays a critical role in accelerating the race to a green economy.

We know the journey to green pensions can be complex and takes time. That’s why signing up to the Charter is a commitment to take a first step on that journey as businesses leading on climate action and show support for our co-ordinated ambition.
