FAC Insights: No Music On a Dead Planet "Ditch Fossil Fuelled Pensions" - interview with Fay Milton & Nigel Adams
FAC Insights is a forum for us to showcase and share long form pieces looking at various parts of the music industry and the society that shapes it. Pieces take the form of videos, interviews, discussions, articles and more.
This week Music Declares Emergency (MDE) are running the Turn Up The Volume campaign – aimed at uniting the music industry to speak up about the Climate Crisis – with a focus on what we can all do and also on the government and the forthcoming COP26 conference this November
As part of Turn Up The Volume MDE are highlighting a fossil fuel pensions divestment campaign - showing the huge change individuals and companies can make relatively easily by talking to their pensions provider and switching their funds.
David Attenborough said: ‘It is crazy that our banks and our pensions are investing in fossil fuels, when these are the very things that are jeopardising the future we are saving for.”
Therefore, today, on Earth Day (and everyday) we are delighted to share this interview with MDE co-founders Fay Milton from the band Savages and Nigel Adams from Full Time Hobby records discuss the issue in this interview.
