The Great Escape 2024 Roundup

Last week, the FAC headed to Brighton for The Great Escape and to host our third annual Happy Mixer Mixer with our friends Deezer.

We kicked things off on Thursday with our conference day takeover at The Great Escape Festival, in collaboration with our friends as part of the Council of Music Makers. We hosted a series of insightful panels including, In Conversation: YolanDa Brown and Tom Gray, Collaboration: Making Music, Getting Credited and Paid, Costs and Challenges of Touring Sustainably, and Building and Managing Your Dream Team.

Our CEO, David Martin, hosted the panel In Conversation: Colin Newman and Malka Spigel-Newman, and was part of the panel for The Manifesto of the Music Makers alongside the Music Managers Forum, Musicians Union, Music Producers Guild and the Ivors Academy.

The day was rounded off with our third annual Happy Hour Mixer at No32 in the Lanes, with our friends at Deezer.  It was another sold-out evening and a fantastic opportunity to connect with so many new and old friends of the FAC.
