The Problem
2 years ago, I asked numerous independent artists to share their experiences of recording their songs:
I quickly noticed a pattern of frustrated answers:
“I booked a local studio, they just added drums to what I already had, it cost around £150 and sounded quite dated.”
“I managed to book a big producer who made me sound big and pop, but that’s not what I asked for, I was charged £1500.”
“I received an MP3 after the session but didn’t know what to do next.”
“I paid for an EP and put it online but the tracks have no plays.”
The Solution
Having worked on label-funded projects I am aware of the depth of creative direction and artistic development required to find an artist’s sound. However, this crucial and critical service is not easily available to the young independent artist.
Ferocious Production is offering high quality artist centred creative direction and record production but at a price that is affordable to the independent artist. In addition, we can offer a direct route to market via a label services agreement, currently with Kobalt. To date "Ferocious Production" has delivered 30 songs and 5 EP's all to delighted independent artists.
Ferocious Production clients
I worked with an artist with song ideas but no recordings. For this artist, I developed and refined their song writing, identified a vision and agreed a creative direction. The artist left the session with a high-quality demo suitable for industry presentation. The total cost was £350 per track.
Similarly, I worked with an artist with a variety of home produced demos but no releasable recordings. I was able to build on these demos and develop them into finished competitive productions and arranged for release online. The total cost was £550 per track.
My work across all artists is currently averaging 250,000 streams per track on Spotify.
