Important: Paying for FAC PRO Membership via PPL Deductions

As a PPL-registered performer, you can choose to pay for your FAC Pro membership via the deduction of a percentage of your UK performer income from PPL. Please read the details below about how this will work and what it means for you. By confirming to the FAC that you wish to proceed with this option, you are authorising PPL to make these deductions and pay them to the FAC on your behalf (and PPL will rely on your authorisation to do so).

Terms & Conditions

  • At each PPL distribution of UK performer income, PPL will deduct 5% (plus VAT) from the UK performer income that is due to be paid to you as a PPL-registered performer. (This will include UK performer income which relates to prior years, where it is included in a PPL distribution after you have given this authorisation.)

  • PPL will then pay the deducted amounts to us on your behalf.

  • PPL’s authorisation to make these deductions and pay the deducted amounts to us will continue for as long as you are both an FAC member and a PPL-registered performer, unless you give written notice to the FAC (by emailing membership@thefac.org) that you no longer wish to pay for FAC Pro membership in this way. You can give this notice to us at any time but please be aware that, if you give notice shortly before a PPL distribution date, it may not be possible for us to stop your deduction until the following PPL distribution.

  • Please also note that PPL may also from time to time provide FAC with information regarding your level of UK performer income from PPL, in connection with the operation of these arrangements.
