For a feel-it-in-your-bones musician like BEKA, the art finds her before she has even gone looking.

Her long-held values and themes – of self-love, reaching out a hand to others, and identity – pulse through her journey so far. The Nottingham-born, now east London-based musician’s heritage is integral to her worldview and musicianship. BEKA was born to mixed-race parents: her mother is white British from Yorkshire and Black from St. Vincent & The Grenadines, and her father is Black Nigerian and white British with white adoptive parents, three white sisters and a Chinese sister.
